“Clean Stimulus Package” For Unemployed Job Seekers

Northbrook, IL, May 12, 2009: Zengeler Cleaners is now offering free dry cleaning to anyone who is currently unemployed and needs freshly cleaned and pressed suits for job interviews. Customers who provide proof of their unemployment status in the form of a current unemployment check stub at any of the seven Zengeler Cleaners retail stores or to their delivery drivers will receive a certificate good for cleaning three men’s or women’s suits – absolutely free. This free cleaning offer is effective Thursday, May 14, and will continue until 2,000 free cleaning certificates have been issued.

With Illinois’ unemployment rate hovering around double digits, Zengeler Cleaners, a fifth-generation, family-owned company decided to provide free cleaning as their way of assisting unemployed workers in the area. “We wanted to do something to help our neighbors and customers who are struggling through these difficult times, “said Tom Zengeler, President of Zengeler Cleaners. “It’s our hope that this may relieve some of the stress for job seekers by helping them present a more professional appearance when they are granted an interview.”
